Dr. Fleming

Dr. Sara Fleming received her training in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University, located in Seattle, WA.  She has spent the last two years as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Family medicine at UW-Madison, performing research in the area of women’s health and working towards her Master’s in Population Health Sciences. She is Board Certified by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners and is currently licensed by the state of Washington as a primary care physician.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Sara emphasizes individualizing patient care.  Since no two people develop any specific condition for the same reasons, or experience that condition in the same ways, Dr. Sara seeks out the underlying causes of imbalance in each patient and develops treatment plans unique to each individual.  She believes that a doctor’s primary role is to guide the patient in the direction of wellness, helping to identify obstacles in the path to optimal health for that person, and offering tools for overcoming them.

Dr. Sara has experience and training in family practice, with a focus on gastrointestinal imbalance, food allergies, women’s health, mental health, naturopathic cancer support, and pediatrics.  Her primary treatment modalities include clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and counseling.  Dr. Sara will work with other healthcare practitioners, including family physicians and medical specialists, to best meet the needs of her patients and provide integrated medical care.
